Our compact 9HP Dual Kick drum Eurorack module
We'd like to present our or new dual kick drum module features two legendary kicks drums - 808 and 909 based on their original circuits using lates high end SMD components, quality German WIMA capacitors and audio grade SoundPlus OpAmps.
Both kicks in the module are triggered with 5V gate optimized for gates of any length. Accent inputs allow accentuating stronger and weaker kicks with extra gates or controlling kick volume with 0 to 5V CV. We have added trimmers to adjust accent strength depending on the intended use.
Both kicks have separate independent outputs and can be used at the same time:
Different between 808 and 909 kick drum sounds
808 kick generates very boomy sound based on T-Shaped resonator circuit. It was often used in often Electro and Acid techno tracks. You can adjust it with decay, pitch and tone knobs. The original 808 circuit has been modified for longer maximum decay.
909 kick is more tight, it is based on discrete oscillator with more aggressive punchy kick sound often used making techno. You can adjust it with attack, decay, tune, tune decay potentiometers. Original circuit has been improved for longer maximum decay, lower minimum pitch, as well as extra potentiometers for soft clipping distortion and attack noise control.
